• First and the most important point which you need to remember before starting JEE preparation is that it is not a usual exam like boards or any other normal exam. This is a national level exam which indeed needs hard-work and consistency.
  • More than 10 lac students give this exam every year, but only around 5000 students get selected for IITs, that means the selection ratio for IIT is less than 0.5%. Thus proper focus and regular hard-work is required.

  • Maths is a vast subject, thus I prefer to start your preparation with Maths then go on Physics followed by Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
  1.  MAKE PROPER CLASS NOTES :- Everyone knows notes are important, but students then also skip them because they don't know the exact benefits of notes which I will tell: (i) While you are writing, your chances of getting distracted and going into imaginary world is very less, as your hand is also working along with you brain. (ii) Also the retention power increases as we are feeding the information at two places i.e your brain and your hand. Thus Note making is a must for all.
  2. FOLLOW GOOD BOOKS :-  Books are a must especially when you are not going to any coaching, following good books will help you grip the concepts better. Not only books, the types of questions in the books are also important, and you should know what type of questions are required and which are not. You can get to know about the books for all subjects in the 'Book Review' Section.
  3. DAILY PRACTICE PROBLEMS :- After studying all the day, you should know whether you remember the concept and whether you understood it properly or not. Thus Daily practice problems (DPPs) are very important to test everyday your position.
  4. REGULAR TESTING :- Also proper testing after regular interval ( preferably 3 weeks ) is important to check your standing. Also the test should not be simple, it should be of Advance level so that proper testing can be there.
